The Sybil’s chain has a long history dating back to 1958 when the original owners Isobel Deacon and Sybil Jennings opened their first retail outlet.
The original name ‘Carousel’ is well remembered by our mothers and grandmothers. A couple of changes have happened since then, with the chain now being owned by designer Leone Friman for the past ten years, however, the tradition of fashionably dressing plus sized women, not just in Australia, but all over the world continues.
Research indicates that over 60% of Australian women wear a size 14 or over and yet the fashion industry was not catering accordingly. We at Sybil’s are fully aware of the frustrations a Plus-size girl has when fashion shopping. Our design team has listened to the feedback of your requests and has delivered; we believe a range of fashion that will cater to your every need.
Our casual weekend wear has an emphasis on smart sporty styling of tees, and semi fitted blousing all teamed back with very forgiving stretch pull-on pants, jeans, and skirts.
Our better day wear comprising of poly spandex tops, free flowing chiffon, voile and linen blend blousing again teamed back with stretch bottoms and printed poly spandex gored skirts.
Our special occasion dressing delivers exquisite lace, printed silk duster jackets and highlights of sequins and sparkles for that very special occasion. These are matched perfectly with our ever popular crepe range of camisoles, pants and skirts in a selection of the latest fashion colours.
